Welcome back Cruzers! We are so excited for our 2026 season. Planning is underway for a great season so be sure to check back often for information on important dates and team updates. We can't wait to see you at the pool!
Westlake Cruzers are a part of the Clubs of Austin Swim League (CASL). This team is a summer recreational swim team designed for the development of all legal strokes while having fun in the pool. The Lost Creek Cruzers was founded in 1979 at the famous Lost Creek Country Club, which was renamed the Westlake Cruzers (at Westlake Country Club) in 2023. The first meet was swum in the "upper pool." Today, Cruzers fills its roster with nearly 200 swimmers down in the lap pool, and competes against nine other local summer rec teams.
Our program goals are centered around learning how to swim in a safe and positive environment while having fun. Our team is a combination of swimmers ranging in abilities, from ages 5-17. The team competes weekly, with some of our meets on Thursday and Friday nights, and some on Saturday mornings.
The Cruzers would not exist without parent volunteers. This is an integral part of the team's success. Volunteer opportunities include being a part of the managing board and helping make swim meets run smoothly. Our team is constantly growing while training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded swim team. Thank you for joining us. We look forward to seeing you down at the pool!
Cost and Start Date:
Registration is $385 per swimmer, which includes:
• 2.5 months of practice
• 6 swim meets
• Team shirt
• Team swim cap
• Yard sign
•10% sibling discount for each additional swimmer
Registration opens: February 16, 2026
Registration and evaluations close: March 23, 2026
Practices begin: April 1, 2026
Non-members of Westlake Country Club are not eligible to participate.
